His career path is quite particular and exciting. Coming from an academic background in culture management and history of art, Luca decided to take the leap and enhance his career prospects by following the MBA. It was them when he discovered a special interest in the human capital management field. ‘’I remember I got the highest mark on the assignment for the module of Managing Human Capital and Leadership’’, it was then that his passion for the subject grew.

Luca describes his journey as one of the most exciting in his career. It has been almost two years since he received his British MBA degree and he is completely convinced that studying at the London School of Commerce Malta (LSC Malta) was turning the point for his professional development. As achieving an MBA added value to his curriculum and with his skills, he automatically became an asset to the company he is working for.

How did you discover the MBA programme at LSC Malta?

Word of mouth. I had a friend who encouraged me to follow the programme. I was living in Malta; I went to visit the campus and I decided to join it.

How was your experience during your studies?

The diversity of nationalities was extremely valuable, all the content of the programme and the academic staff. I remember sharing information and knowledge with my classmates from Brazil, Poland, China, India and Alegria. The international exposure was extremely valuable and useful particularly if you want to work in an international environment.

What was the lecture you most enjoyed?

It is easily assumable at this point. It was Managing Human Capital and Leadership. But the other lecture that I enjoyed as well was Marketing Management.

What is the thing that you most remember studying at LSC Malta?

It was a friendly international environment. It was a sort of place where you feel family vibes. As a person I tend to be introverted nonetheless I never felt uncomfortable. I always felt welcome. Students, teachers, the LSC staff, everyone contributing and always giving me the support I needed.

What was the most important skill you learnt during the MBA that you now apply in your current position?

I believe it was how to approach and handle different cultures. I learnt this through the different points of views. I specifically remember very deep business-related discussions between myself and my very good friend and classmate from China, Chen.

How was your job-seeking experience during and after the MBA?

At the final stages of my studies, I found an internship in an administrative position but when I finished the programme I found a job as an HR administrator. Then I decided to go back to my hometown in Milan, Italy. I worked there as an HR Assistant Manager it was then when I received a better job offer in Prague, Czech Republic.

What would you say to a person that is thinking about joining the MBA programme at LSC Malta?

This is an amazing experience, personally and professionally speaking. I encourage people to join the MBA. I am still in contact with my friends from China, India and Algeria and this is absolutely amazing. Every time I think about the London School of Commerce, Malta the first thing that comes to my mind is the international student mix. Studying for the MBA was also the turning point for my professional life and I am really grateful for that.
